Like any wife with a wayward husband, Helen tracks down Bob on Syndrome’s private island... not realizing that the kids have stowed away on her jet.

Syndrome captures Mr. Incredible and begins torturing him - he wants to know who is in the jet heading for the island. Syndrome plays a radio transmission from the jet, and Mr. Incredible recognizes Helen’s voice. Though he tries to disguise his reaction, Syndrome hears the concern in his voice... and fires heat seeking missiles at the jet! “No! Call off the missiles! I’ll do anything!” Syndrome smiles, “Too late. Fifteen years too late.” Helen radios, pleading for Syndrome to abort the missiles, “There are children aboard!” From that we get two great moments: Mr. Incredible, realizing that his selfish need to relive his glory days as a superhero is going to kill his wife and children; and Mirage, realizing just how ruthless Syndrome has become.
