I’m rummaging through the fridge when the front door slams.

“Did you jizz all over the stall?” Steph says, smirking knowingly when she walks into the kitchen with April close on her heels.

“Fucking funny,” I grumble. You know you’re a whipped motherfucker when you jerk off in a dirty toilet stall instead of calling up one of your regulars. I might just as well cut off my balls and gift wrap them for Princess.

Steph puts several grocery bags on the table and asks April to fetch glasses. “A little bird told me Greg is finally home from the hospital.”

I close the fridge a little too hard. “Is that so?”

“Well, shattered kneecaps require a very long and painful recovery time.”

April reaches up in the cupboard. The cabinet door is only partly attached. “Rumor has it he’s too frightened to talk.”

“He better fucking be,” I spit. “He’s dead if he goes near Dallas again, and he knows it.”

April hums in agreement as she passes glasses to Steph. “I think we taught him a lesson that he won’t forget anytime soon.”

“What’s that?” Matt asks as he walks into the kitchen, grabbing an overripe apple from the fruit bowl and squeezing April’s ass.

She slaps him on the chest. “Remember, babe, when we played with Greg?” she bats her eyelashes.

Matt moves in, nipping her jaw with his teeth. “How can I forget? Violence makes you horny. You let me ride your ass all night if I remember correctly.”

“Charming,” Steph says, rolling her eyes as she pours vodka into the glasses.

Matt winks at me over April’s head and bites into his apple.

Steph hands me a drink and says to Matt, “You and April won me a lot of money. I put money on you finally getting down and dirty after we taught Greg a lesson, so I should thank you.” She pins me with her brown eyes. “Now, it would be great if you and Dallas could hurry up and have that threesome with Princess. I have a lot of money riding on you fucking her before the twelfth of this month.”

My brows furrow. “Why the twelfth?”

Matt, who’s in the process of dry humping April from behind while she giggles, explains in an amused voice, “Well, at first it was a case of ‘will they or won’t they?’ But now it’s a matter of when so we changed the stakes to make it more exciting. Josh has already lost out. He bet you would fuck before the ninth, which was yesterday. Steph is up next.”

I roll my eyes, catching the half-eaten apple he chucks at me. “This has got out of hand. I like her, guys. Dallas likes her too. The bet is off.”

Steph scoffs. “Fuck you! The money is already in the pot. Your flowery feelings are not coming in between me and easy money. It’s just a bit of fun.”

I laugh, chucking her on the chin. “You’re cute when you get all feisty. I expect a big part of the takings when you win.”

She slaps my hand away, then takes a large sip of alcohol and glares at me over the rim of the glass.
