Chapter Fifteen
CONFESSION
I tried to stay away.
Really, I did.
TRUE TO HIS word, Henri had left sometime in the early hours of the morning after Bailey passed out. Heâd left, and stayed gone now, for eight full days. Seven of which heâd been trying to convince himself that contacting Bailey would be a really stupid move, since theyâd both decided it was a one-and-done deal and Bailey hadnât reached out to him.
That didnât stop Henri, however, from reliving that night over and over again. Something he had a feeling heâd be doing for a long time to come, because fucking hell, he couldnât remember the last time heâd been with someone who pushed his buttons the way his cop did.
From his looks, to his shy and sexy demeanor, Henri had to admit that if it wasnât for the whole cop factor, there wouldâve been no stopping him from tracking Bailey down again and convincing him to spend another nightâor threeâin his bed.

At home on a Saturday nightâhow awesome am I? But the problem was that he had no desire to go out. He had no desire to hit up a bar and look for a good time, because his head was full of the R-rated images from the last good time heâd had.
Shit. This was not smart. It was also not part of the plan. Henri had thought that one night with Bailey would be enough to get him out of his system. But no matter what he did, Henri couldnât seem to erase the sounds Bailey made when Henri had finally gotten inside him.
Henri looked at the phone sitting on the cushion next to him and shook his head. No, he told himself for the millionth time. You had your fun and now itâs over. You do not need to go sniffing around a cop, for fuckâs sake. So he poured himself a drink and picked up the remote sitting on the arm of his chair.
As he flicked through channels, Henri sighed and tossed the remote down beside him, then he took a long swallow of his drink. There was shit-all on the television tonight, and with
