On another part of Gnypso, Queen Luana and Queen Consort Nona are busy interrogating the staff of the Morrison estate, asking questions about who was planning to start an uprising against the monarchy.

“What do you have against the queens of Gnypso?” Luana asks.

“N-nothing, Your Majesty.”

“Hmmm. Are you planning to start an uprising against the monarchy?” Nona inquires.

“I-it wasn’t me! It was Scarlet!”

“And Scarlet is...?” Luana and Nona ask together.

“They’re the chef’s apprentice.”

“Guards?”

“Yes, Your Majesty?”

“Find the chef’s apprentice Scarlet as soon as possible. We need to interrogate them.”

“Right away, Queen Luana.”

Luana and Nona dismiss the servant they are currently talking to as the guard goes out of the room, and soon returns with Scarlet. Scarlet, like their name implies, has bright red hair, along with hazel eyes and fair skin.

Scarlet sits down on a chair in front of the queens as the guard who had escorted them leaves.

“Scarlet, is it true you’re planning an uprising against the monarchy with other people who are against the monarchy?” Luana asks.

“Who told you my plans?”

“We won’t rat them out. You are the real suspect here. Are you going to tell us your plans in detail, or are we going to have to force them out of you?” Nona asks.

“You two queens wouldn’t hurt a fly, let alone me.”

“We’ve got magic and we’re not afraid to use it to get you to tell us your plans!” Luana says.

“You won’t need to. I’m not afraid to tell you my plans. What have I got to lose?”

“Besides your job and possibly your life? I wouldn’t say much.”

“My plan involved kidnapping you and Queen Consort Nona.”

“And your ransom?”

“I was getting to that. I was hoping to become Sovereign, and you ladies would be my wives.”

Nona and Luana look at Scarlet before looking at each other. The two burst out laughing.

“It’s not funny! It’s a very well-thought-out plan!”

“You really think we’d ‘turn straight’ for anyone? We’re in love with each other.”

“And? I’m nonbinary.”

“That might be true, Scarlet, but that doesn’t change the fact that we wouldn’t want to be your wives.”

“And why not? Am I not attractive enough?”

“You haven’t been properly trained to be a sovereign. Luana has been trained since birth to be queen. Our daughter, Emmalina, is next in line for the throne.”

“Is that so? Interesting. Very interesting.”

Luana smacks her wife on the back of her head for speaking of their daughter so freely.

“Don’t you dare try to harm Emmalina. She’s an innocent little girl.” Luana says.

“I would never hurt an innocent child.”

“We’ll have to put you in the Rosiarian dungeon so you won’t harm anyone. Guard?”

“Yes, Your Majesty?”

“Please escort Scarlet over to the Rosiarian dungeon.”

“Right away, Your Highness.” The guard tells Nona.

The guard escorts Scarlet to the Rosiarian dungeon, and Luana and Nona both breathe a sigh of relief, happy that the person who wanted to overthrow the monarchy has been caught and is on their way to the dungeon.

Within the walls of the manor in Rosiary, Emmitt and Isabella are walking about in their royal garden, sampling some of the vegetables, just for the fun of it.
