Panna cotta

How about some panna cotta? The delicious dessert will leave everyone amazed by its smooth taste.Typical for the Piedmont region, this tasty delight has spread first all over Italy, and shortly after, across the borders.

Servings: 4

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

15 oz.heavy cream

3 oz.sugar

1 Vanilla pod

0.5 oz.gelatin in foils

Instructions:

1.Begin with soaking the gelatin foils in cold water for about 15 minutes.

2.Meanwhile, extract the vanilla seeds from the pod, by scraping it with a knife.

3.On a low flame, heat up the heavy cream together with the sugar and vanilla seeds.Simmer, but don’t boil.

4.When the liquid is close to its boiling point, take the heavy cream off the flame and add the gelatin foils, previously drained completely of water by squeezing.

5.Mix well until the gelatin melts.

6.Divide the panna cotta in 4 dessert bowls and refrigerate for at least 4–5 hours before serving.

7.Serve with caramel, melted chocolate or sweet fruit salsa on top.
