Chapter 7

Calvin tossed and turned in bed, thinking about Erik’s naked body and what it would be like to get fucked by him. Erik’s naked body was the hottest thing he’d ever seen in his life. If he thought to himself, if he was obsessed with Erik before, this experience was going to send him over the edge.

Calvin took a pillow and placed it between his thighs and squeezed. Calvin begged for release. He didn’t know how much longer he could go on this way. The lack of sleep was starting to interfere with his day and he didn’t have any time to waste with his grand opening so close. He would do just about anything to keep his mind off of it. He stared at the ceiling and waited for the minutes to tick by. Eventually, he would have to start dozing from sheer exhaustion.

Suddenly, he heard a loud thump followed by a heartbreaking cry coming from down the hall. Becca! He heard heavy steps coming up the hall toward them. Calvin screamed as he dove from the bed and raced from his bedroom. He opened his door in time to see Erik pushing open the door to Becca’s room. He raced as fast as his feet would take him and made it in there only seconds behind him. When he got there, he was sitting on the floor, cradling a sniffling Becca in his arms. Becca wrapped her arms around Erik' neck as he patted Becca’s back and started to sooth her. From the crumbled covers and stuffed toy wolf on the floor, Calvin knew Becca must have fallen out of the bed.

“Are you okay?” Erik asked. “Let me check you.”

Erik placed Becca on his feet in front of him and checked her arms and shoulders. Calvin’s heart was full of awe as he watched the large man, gently care for his child. He wasn’t condescending, didn’t use it as a teaching moment about the importance of being careful. Instead, he just held Becca and assured her that everything was okay. It was exactly what Calvin would have done if he’d gotten there first. He kept thinking to himself if Erik could even be more perfect.

Seeing him with Becca reminded his of how much he’d wanted other children. He and Tom had a plan when Becca turned five they would look into options, and had toyed with the idea of a surrogate. Now, their fairytale had ended and so did his prospect of other children.

“Alright, Becca. It looks like nothing's broken. Tell me if this hurts… And this?” Erik asked.

Becca was still sniffling a bit but nodded no to both questions. With that being said Erik lifted her from the floor and patted her back. It was then that Becca noticed Calvin also standing there.

“Daddy, I fell out of the bed,” said Becca, sadly as she reached for him.

“I know, honey. Are you okay?” Calvin asked.

Calvin took her into his arms and rubbed her back as he told her she was fine.
