3.25 ≡ Panels of plaited bamboo strips are hung on the exterior wood frame to form the wall covering on this dwelling in Xikou zhen, Fenghua xian. Where the wall receives the greatest weathering, much of the mud plaster has fallen.

3.26 ≡ Plastered walls fill the open areas in this chuandou frame, offering a striking contrast to the exterior surface. Furong cun, Yantou xiang, Yongjia xian.
