I raise an eyebrow at her.

“Excuse me, sir,” Lexi calls out to the waiter.

“Can we get an extra-large pepperoni pizza, please?”

“Coming right up!”

“Oh, yes, girl! That’s what I like to see- a lady getting exactly what she wants!”

“Well, you won’t get it if you don’t ask.”

I look around the room; I’d hardly even noticed the other people around us since I’d been so fixated on Lexi.

“And what does a woman like you want?”

The waiter places the plates down in front of us. I can’t help but wonder if he sensed the tension between us. Our bodies face one another, but I feel her feet brush past my legs ever so slightly.
