Chapter 25

I woke up, got moving, noticed my wild and super fluffy hair in the mirror as I brushed my teeth. Some mornings it was super big and some mornings it was flat as a pancake. I decided to tie it in a messy bun, well, my hair decided it was going to be a messy bun as I tried to tame it. It looked cute, like a super artistic librarian. I smiled and thought to myself, that will do!

I made my way back to my room and put on a pair of cut off denim shorts and a tank top. I needed to do a few chores around the house before I met up with everyone. I couldn’t believe we only had 42 days left all as one unit.

I was glad I was awarded a full-ride scholarship for college so I didn’t have to work much this summer! I had my own Art Studio at home and I sold my prints on my website. I was awarded the Presidential scholarship and a few other smaller scholarships at our awards ceremony the last week of high school. I was indeed very blessed to not have to get any student loans to start college. I know I want to either major or minor in Art, but that’s all I knew until I started the classes and figured it all out. Mom said I had 4 years to make sure I learned whatever I want to do after college.

I snapped back to reality when my phone tinged. I had a text. I smiled before I even looked at it.

I grabbed it and read a message from Chase. He was working again but had plenty of free time later… He texted: “Morning beautiful, love you, hope you have time to see me today!”

I wrote back: “Hey, hey handsome! Of course, I have time for my lover boy.”

Almost instantly I got another message from him: “I like the sound of that.”

I wrote back: “What time do you get off?”

Chase wrote back, “Every time we make love. LOL 3 pm today”

I replied: “Yes sir, see you at the pool parking lot at 3, I will do my best to get you off.”

He sent this message next: “XOXO love you!”

I replied: “Ditto, all my love.”

I laid the phone down and worked on household chores for about half an hour before my phone tings again. I looked and it was Mikayla.

She asked: “Can we double or triple date tonight?”

I wrote back: “We are free, let me check with Jacki.”

I texted Jacki: “Hey sista, want to double or triple date with us tonight? Mikayla is in and so am I.”

I waited for about ten minutes and she replied: “ABSOLUTELY. Send me your plans. We can meet up at 5.”

I replied: “Perfect, will work out details.”

Then I wrote Mikayla: “Jacki said they can meet up at 5 tonight. And I’m meeting Chase after work at 3. What’s the game plan?”

Mikayla said: “Let’s meet at the Pizza Shack at 5, Chris gets off at 4:30.
