As soon as we were in my room I prepared to turn to Casper and apologise when I felt his hands fisting my shirt and forcing me back up against the door. The wind was knocked out of me as muscle collided with wood. âHey watch it!â I gasped as his knuckles ground into my chest.
âStop trying to push my boundaries!â he hissed through his teeth, saliva flecking his lips.
âNo,â I ground out. I glared down into his burning grey eyes, âIâm not going to stop pushing you and pushing you until you donât even realise youâve crossed one of your boundaries! Sometimes you need to be pushed just like sometimes I need to be restrained!â I softened my tone and tried to relax under his grip, âIâm not saying everything needs to be perfect right away. I just want you to enjoy being around me.â
âI do!â he insisted, his own tone straining. He eased his grip on my shirt but pushed against me a little more. âI do,â he repeated softly, âI just âYouâre the first person whoâs ever bothered to try and get this close to me and itâs freaking me out a little!ââ
âI know that, I do, but if youâre not comfortable with me how are you going to get comfortable around my dad or even Katie?â He clenched his jaw but said nothing. I reached up and brushed his fringe out of his eyes, trailing my fingertips down over his clenched jaw. âI just want you to feel relaxed.â
âI donât mean to come off as an arsehole,â he murmured, his voice breaking a little.
âYou donât,â I chuckled.
âYouâre supposed to say that!â he whined, fisting his hair.
âI know but itâs still true,â I leaned over and pressed a chaste kiss to his temple. âI just want you to at least get along with my dad and my sister. Katie already adores you and youâve barely said two words to each other yet!â
My smile mustâve been infectious because soon his lips were turning upward. His grip on my shirt relaxed until he was almost leaning against me, his balled up fists the only things separating us. His nose bumped against my chin and I relaxed.
âWell your dad I can handle, Iâll try and be better with Katie,â he paused and bit his lip, âBut what about your mum?â
I scoffed. âFuck my mum!â
âEr ⦠no thanks,â he grimaced dramatically making me laugh out loud. He turned his head to the side and leaned against my shoulder.
The warm weight felt comforting against me as I dropped another chaste kiss to his head, âGo on, you, go and have a shower whilst itâs quiet.â
âWhatâre you going to do?â He waggled his eyebrows at me.
I shrugged, âI can shower later. Canât even stand outside the door and chat to you whilst youâre taking a shit because mum would think itâs some weird gay experiment.â
âThatâs beautiful, is that Shakespeare?â he quipped.
âOh fuck off and shower!â I chided.
He leaned away from me and went to his suitcase to grab a towel.
