Palliative care

Palliative care involves relieving pain and discomfort without addressing underlying (usually untreatable) conditions. Such care is usually provided to patients as they struggle with debilitating or terminal illnesses. Palliative care may prolong and improve the quality of your pet’s final months, weeks, or days. Cannabis products containing a variety of cannabinoids and other ingredients can be useful for this purpose.

Tumors

A tumor is any abnormal growth of tissue. It can be benign (not spreading) or malignant, which means it can spread to other parts of the body. Like humans, pets are susceptible to developing tumors, and certain cannabinoids may help in their treatment. However, most of the evidence that supports the use of cannabis in treating tumors is anecdotal — few, if any, scientific studies support its effectiveness. Some pet owners have reported success eliminating or reducing the size of tumors (or stopping their growth) through oral or topical application of various cannabis products.
