The Thread class also has other methods that let us control threads: Suspend, Resume and Abort. Those may seem handy at first, but they are in fact extremely dangerous, and you should never use them, we will talk about why they are so bad later in the chapter.

Using the thread class and Thread.Start is the only way to get a thread that is completely under your control, and you can do whatever you want with it without interfering with other code running in your app.

Creating and destroying threads is relatively resource intensive and if you create a lot of threads where each thread does just a little bit of work your app might spend more time managing threads then doing actual useful work.
