The overall simulation process for each time step may be summarized as follows.1. EnergyPlus calculates the heating or cooling load in the Thermal Zone .
2.The Air Terminals connected to the Thermal Zone convert this load to an airflow rate given the temperature of air set by the Zone sizing parameters.This is critically important and deserves reiteration in bold text: the airflow rate in an Air Loop is driven by the Air Terminals. The parameters of these terminals are the first place to check when understanding flow rate behavior.
