TRAINING

Brad Smith comes to work at the brewery as a bartender. He has already filled out his paper work, taken a tour, and clocked in. On his first day on the job he is assigned a trainer. This is someone who knows the job well and is paid a small premium to train new employees. The trainer receives a training checklist from you and takes a few minutes to go over some of the simple things on the list with Brad. These would include where to park, the phone number, hours of operation, and what credit cards are accepted.

Brad and his trainer spend the rest of the day performing the job while using the training checklist as a reference. At the end of the shift, the trainer goes back through the checklist and quizzes Brad on all of the items covered. The trainer explains to Brad that he will not be able to work on his own until he can pass a small written test covering the items on the training check list.
