The next morning I wake with a steel band wrapped around my waist. Last night was the best night of my life. Just thinking about it causes my body to heat, and I rub my thighs together to elevate the tingle between my legs. My movements cause Austin to stir behind me, and his sleep-filled voice fills the room. "If you don't stop rubbin' that sweet ass against my dick, I'm going to spread your legs and give you somethin' to rub."

"Sorry," I giggle. "Can you let me up, though, so I can use the restroom?"

Austin gives my waist one last squeeze before he releases me. When I climb out of bed, I note the soreness between my legs and wince. Then it suddenly dawns on me, something that I stupidly didn't think about last night. How could I have been so careless? Sensing something is wrong, Austin's sleep filled voice is more alert.

"What is it, baby?"

"Um..we didn't use any protection last night and I'm not on anything." My voice comes out a little panicked.

"Okay," is all Austin says.

"Okay? That's all you have to say? I just told you that I'm not on birth control after having unprotected sex last night and all you have to say is okay?"

"Baby, calm down." I hear Austin climb out of bed and a second later he's in front of me. "I'm sorry I fucked up and forgot about protection. If something happens then we'll deal with it."

"How come you're acting so calm? I mean, I could get pregnant, Austin. And pregnancy is not the only thing there is to worry about."

Austin's arm around me tightens. "If you are concerned about whether or not I'm clean, then don't be. I get tested regularly. I would never put you at risk, Lelani. Besides, you're the only woman I have been inside ungloved."

The thought of Austin sleeping with other women causes my stomach to churn, but I do believe him when he says he wouldn't intentionally put me at risk.

"We good?" He kisses the tip of my nose.

"Yeah. We're good."

He holds me for a long moment before asking, "You sore?"

"It's not too bad but do you have some pain reliever I can take?"

"Yeah babe, I'll get you some."

On my way to the bathroom, I step on Austin's discarded shirt. Leaning down, I swipe it off the floor and tug it on over my head. Just as I'm about to continue my trek to the bathroom, a pair of hands land on my hips, halting me in place. "I fuckin' love seeing you in my shirt, Mouse," Austin rumbles into my ear, then I feel his lips against the crook of my neck. I lean back into his embrace and sigh. The two of us stay locked together in that position for a beat before he delivers one last kiss to my temple. "Go get cleaned up."

Twenty minutes later, I emerge from the bathroom feeling refreshed from my shower to find Austin has returned, and the smell of bacon assaults my nostrils, making my tummy rumble.
