M.19, but bearing its title as MXIX, was the first of the 9.2in Mark VI monitors to be completed. (IWM SP139)

Seen at Stavros on the Salonika front are (left to right) M.19, M.32, M.16, M.20 and M.17. Spread awnings hide much of the deck detail, but M.32’s gunshield can be seen on her forecastle, probably to allow her forward 6in to be repaired. This view was probably taken early in 1918. (IWM Q14110)

M.33 alongside the repair ship Reliance for work on her 6in. (IWM SP275)

M.16 steams through the busy harbour of Mudros in 1915. The breech of the 9.2in Mk X can be seen at the open rear of the shield. (P.A. VICARY)
