Clarissa’s scream echoed in my head. My mate was in danger. Pain flooded my body as my bones, tissue and muscles shifted as my body mass quickly increased. The pain from my fatal wounds were already healing. I was complete yet but I would live. Another roar broke free from me, as all the scents in the cave filtered through my enhanced senses and my mate’s wasn’t there anymore. As soon as my transformation was complete, I staggered to my feet.

I staggered to my feet, ignoring the pain in my gut as I ran toward the entrance. My ears twitched as I heard the distinct sound of a spaceship engine just outside.

“No, you can’t go out there now. You are not fully healed,” said Tsukuda.

He tackled me to the ground two blinks later. I tossed him from me and staggered to me feet again, running the rest of the way to the entrance.

Sharp pain shot up both of my legs, as I fell to my knees and pulled out the two knives in my legs. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Verilox who held a weapon in his hand.

“General, you will not go out there. They might kill your mate. We will need one of your diabolic strategic plans in order to get her back,” said Verilox.

Ignoring the pain, I stood. Before I could run out the cave anyway, Tsukuda injected something in my neck, and darkness swallowed me whole.

Sneaky bastard.
