Chloe

I shiver as cool air hits my skin. I’m about to reach to pull the covers up when I realize I’m bound. My eyes shoot open, and I look wildly around the room. Cade still sleeps on the floor, but he’s naked with his clothes nowhere to be found. I’m naked, too, my arms and legs spread wide and tied to the bed.

I want to call for help, but I’m not sure which one of them will wake up. And even if it’s Cade, I don’t want him to see me this way. Then I realize… the berserker saw me this way. How could I have slept through him undressing me? Did he… touch me in my sleep?

I’m sure if he’d done more, he wouldn’t have been able to stop himself from completing the mating bond. And I’m sure I’d know if he’d done that.

Oh crap, I need to pee. I really really hope it’s Cade that wakes up.

“Cade!” My entire body blushes as I realize not only is Cade going to see this, but the berserker will get to see it again from inside Cade. After yesterday I now understand they’re both always there, it’s just that one of them is in the driver’s seat and the other has to watch. Or maybe gets to watch in the case of the berserker.

“Cade!” I say louder.

He jumps up, his head whipping around as though he’s expecting to be attacked. It takes him a moment to realize his clothes are gone. He sees me chained to the bed, and immediately his dick goes hard at the sight, his blue eyes darkening with lust. My body responds to his response, and I know that if he decided to ignore the better angels of his nature, there would be no resistance as my body opened to allow him to slide easily inside.

“C-Cade?” The look he’s giving me makes me not entirely sure it’s him.

He shakes himself out of his immediate carnal reaction and looks away. “I-I’m sorry.”

“Could you untie me, please?”

“Yes… I … yes of course.” He walks to me awkwardly trying to avoid looking at me even as his body displays his arousal.

He pulls the sheet up to cover me before going to work freeing my ankles and wrists.

“I’m going to take a shower,” he says when he’s finished untying me.

“I’ll look the other direction,” I say.

“Thanks.”

But he isn’t as shy as I am, so I think he said it out of awkwardness and just not knowing what else to say.

I don’t see my clothes anywhere, because of course the berserker took them away. All I have is the sheet to cover myself with. I would feel completely exposed and unsafe except that I don’t feel unsafe with Cade. It’s only what’s living inside him that concerns me.

I face away from the shower and listen as the water runs. I do so well for about five minutes, and then I can’t help it, I look. Cade faces the wall, the hot water sliding down his perfect body.
