Jack helped Chloe to the bathroom where she hopped the remainder of the way. He’d already gotten up and taken the coldest fucking shower. It was that or go throw himself in the creek. His dick ached for a release. His bear practically growled itself hoarse last night. Screaming for them to take her and claim her.

He’d almost lost it as he’d watched her stretched out on the blanket looking up into the sky. She’d genuinely wanted to know about the constellations and he loved to share. The human side of him could almost feel what it was to have someone to love you. Have someone all your own. He’d been taking care of his brothers and mother for so long he’d forgotten what it was like to actually want a mate. To want a woman to bear your cubs.

He couldn’t get the idea out of his head. The image of her under him. The idea of what it would feel like to grab that full ass. God, she was the sexiest damn creature he’d ever seen. Jack went to the living room and put on his boots as he waited for her to do whatever it was females did. If she came out smelling like sex again though, he was a goner.

The bathroom door opened and he smiled as she peeked her head out. Holding onto the wall she hopped her way the few feet to the living room. Shit, if he didn’t nearly just pop the zipper of his jeans as he watched her breasts bounce with every movement.

Nope. He was going to carry her ass from now on.

He didn’t even let her finish her way to him, his bear took control of their brain and he was scooping her up and claiming her beautiful pouty lips. Tasting the subtle flavor of her mouth.

He couldn’t help himself. There was no stopping his hand as he held her, running a palm over her hip. The clank of his keys hitting the ground making them both jump. Oh right, he’d been ready to take her to town.

“Shit sorry.” He reached down and picked up his keys. Damn it. She tasted like summer, and sweets, and everything he wanted.

“I. Yeah. Let’s get to town. We can pick up breakfast near the doc’s office.”

She didn’t say anything. Her mouth moved but nothing came out, her cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were glazed over. What would she look like if he let himself take her right here? Right now.

No. He couldn’t do that. Could he?

No, he couldn’t.

He gripped her waist and picked her up again but this time he kept his lips to himself.
