Getting There & Away

There are numerous buses from Rajshahi to Natore and they all stop at Puthia (Tk 30, 30 minutes, 6.30am to 6.30pm). From the main road follow the sign for ‘Puthia Temple’ and keep walking for about 500m.

It’s easy to pick up buses on the side of the main road here to either Rajshahi or Natore (Tk 20, 30 minutes) from where you can catch buses to Dhaka.

Natore

The small town of Natore is a place of split personality. On the one hand you’ve got the town centre itself, a nondescript, dusty small town. On the other hand you have elegant Natore Rajbari with its fanciful gardens and temple -hemmed ponds, which, when combined with nearby Puthia, makes for an enchanting day trip from Rajshahi or even Bogra.
