GLOWING GELATIN ALIENS

ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED

MODERATELY EASY

Let’s pretend we’re at Area 51 and just uncovered an alien spacecraft. You check inside and find glowing aliens. What do you do?

No, these gelatin aliens didn’t undergo some crazy science experiment. They are just so awesome that they glow. And you’re so awesome you can eat them.

INGREDIENTS

1 (6-oz [170-g]) package lime gelatin

2 cups (470 ml) cold tonic water

EQUIPMENT

Bowl

Spoon

Alien mold

Baking sheet

Cookie cutter or knife

Black light

Mix the gelatin and tonic water in a bowl. Stir for 2 minutes until it’s completely dissolved.

Pour into the alien mold and chill for 4 hours, or until firm.

You can also pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and chill, then cut out alien shapes with a cookie cutter or knife.

Serve under a black light for a glowing treat!
