NEW RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FIRST RESPONDER MENTAL HEALTH INCLUDES SUPERHEROES FOR FIRST TIME

Washington (AP) – For the first time therapists have added recommendations for superheroes to their guidelines for mental health targeted towards first responders. Much as for firefighters or police officers after dangerous or violent encounters, the conclave put forth recommendations that superheroes have reliable access to professionals to talk about the stresses of the job, as well as specific traumatic events, especially when civilian or criminal deaths are involved. While officially there is no budget for such matters in normal insurance plans, several donors have already pledged extra funds to cover the costs for any superheroes who sought assistance for their mental health.
