Ryul got up and looked to see both Kel and Jana standing and watching him.

“Did you just heal yourself?” Jana asked.

“I did,” Ryul replied with a smug grin on his face.

“How by the Ancients did you do that?” Kel asked, walking over towards him and looking down at his leg.

“It’s gone!” Kel announced, poking his finger through the tear in Ryul’s trousers and prodding his leg to look for any kind of reaction.

“And you feel no pain?”

Ryul shook his head, “No, nothing.”

“Let me see that,” Jana asked, indicating to the bracelet on his wrist.

Ryul held his arm out so she could examine the artefact a little more closely.

“That’s elven,” she said, looking at the runes etched into the silver.

Ryul suggested that Jana read the section in his journal and explained that it was apparently created by somebody called Cellica Dawnstar.

“We learned about her at the elven academy. But what was a goblin doing with it? Moreover, why did it feel the need to draw itself to you?”

Ryul did not have an answer for either of Jana’s questions and so merely shrugged his shoulders and thought to change the subject a bit.

“Was that gem in the coin purse anything special?”

Jana smiled and nodded, “Yes, the jewel is a good one. It’s a Blue Moonstone and should get us a couple of crowns from a merchant.”

“Excellent,” Ryul replied with a smile before looking elsewhere as he felt he was suddenly grinning inanely at her.
