“Bullshit. You’ll be a single girl forever, relying on the kindness of just like me and Roger. We’ll all be dirty old men together. Won’t we, Roger?”

We turned to look at Roger, who surprisingly hadn’t said anything in a while. He was gazing, with his most evil big bad wolf stare, at the little birthday boy who, with his head still on the table, continued to move the glasses back and forth, completely immersed in his task. We followed Roger’s gaze.

Timmy admonished, “Now, Roger, put your pecker back in your pocket. You are a very, very experienced nasty man. He’s a baby and he’s blasted. That’s just not fair. It’s not even shooting fish in a barrel. It’s shooting fish on a tray of ice. Give him a chance to get away. Besides, we all know that drunks aren’t fun fucks and, I can tell you from personal experience having been on the receiving end of a swoop when I was toasted, he won’t thank you in the morning and it shows a certain lack of style . . . even for you.”
