Leigh fairly leaped on the phone as it rang. “Clan MacLeod, Leigh speaking,” she said hurriedly.

“Hey sweetie, ready for a run?”

“Trudy, dear gods where have you been? You never came home after Angie’s wedding. Have you spent the whole weekend with Sean?”

“Guess again,” laughed Gloria from beside Trudy.

“Gloria?”

“Well thank you so much, Miss We’ll Wait A Few Days Before We Tell Anybody,” laughed Trudy, and kissed Gloria quickly.

“Oh, my God, Gloria Simms,” exclaimed Leigh, still in shock, “my dear woman, truly you are the miracle worker.”

“You don’t know the half of it,” said Trudy. “So are you up for a run or what.”

“Oh, baby, just you try to get out of it now. Get your gear on; I’ll be there in fifteen. You’re next, Gee, after I’ve pumped Trudy for information I’m coming for you.”

“I submit. Would you and Stephen care to join us for dinner tonight?”

“Love to.”

“Make it a short run, girls; we have to be at work at nine.”

“I’m gone,” said Leigh, and the line went dead.

“You have time to kiss me three more times at least before she gets here.”

“At least three,” said Trudy, falling back onto the bed with her.
