Obama Haters are very conservative fiscally, and they are strongly biased against Barack Obama. What Haters want most strongly is to reduce government spending on welfare and to increase government spending on defense. A few Haters even believe, very incorrectly, that defense spending is the smallest item in the federal budget.

On questions relating to President George W. Bush or to the presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Haters’ responses are very similar to Conservatives’ responses. There is no sign of a strong bias for or against these men relative to the views of Conservatives. On questions relating to President Barack Obama, they differ strongly from Conservatives. In Haters’ eyes, Obama is far more radical and far more sinister than in the eyes of Conservatives. This difference is likely driven by the Haters’ hatred of Obama, which arises from xenophobia, Islamophobia, and racism.
