Silence filled the hall as calmness reigned once more. As the doors closed, the audience came back to paying attention to what was returning to near normality. Darius Traun gestured for Aldonica to receive thanks for what she’d done. Various members of the audience turned and gave Aldonica praise. Darius, out front, beckoned for her, asking her to go up on to the platform. Tayce turned to Dairan, feeling a lot more like her normal self and proud of what Aldonica had done. As Aldonica walked past, Tayce quickly and whisperingly congratulated her.

“Nice work, though why do I have the feeling this isn’t over yet and that it was too easy?” confided Tayce discreetly, then turned to Dairan, informing him the same - it had been too easy.

“Do you think so? All we can do is wait for anything else suspicious to occur,” advised Dairan in a whisper.

“As that girl said, she was acting for somebody else. I’m still a little concerned just who, but I guess all we can do is, like you say, wait for something to happen,” replied Tayce, feeling there was still something more to come.

“Don’t you think you’d better let your father or Chief Barnford know there’s more to possibly come?” asked Dairan, thinking she should inform her father at least.

“But if it’s just my mind playing tricks, I’m going to look stupid when It doesn’t happen,” replied Tayce in a near whisper looking about.

“I get your point,” he replied, seeing where she was coming from - that without any evidence she would look just as she said, stupid. It worried him, though, that there could be further trouble and they didn’t know when.

Darius, up on the platform asked for everyone’s attention. The audience fell silent, giving their new leader their full attention. He began by firstly thanking Aldonica for her quick-thinking actions in saving the new leader of Enlopedia. Her actions would be noted for a commendation. With this, Aldonica smiled, thanking Darius politely, then stepped back out of the way. He announced further that he was honoured to be leader of such an up-and-coming base and, above all else, to be made Admiral of Enlopedia. He would serve the base and its people in the same way the late Jonathan Largon served Questa: with pride. He would serve with the best he could possibly give. He would listen and advise where necessary. The audience gave a thunderous applause at Darius’s promise. He finally went on to declare he was going to make Enlopedia as good if not better than Questa, to be a base to be proud of and one that would be remembered long into history for being number one in everything.

Upon these words, the doors to the hall burst open once more. Everyone turned on the alert. In walked a man in the same attire as the young female assassin was dressed in earlier, only he was in black. Tayce turned her head. She knew her hunch had been right.
