However, such a move can have positive and negative impacts on the SOC workforce, affecting their work roles and job satisfaction in ways that are not often spoken about. The problem that may border, most significantly, those managing various tasks at the security operations centres is that their skills may become redundant, and their roles may be significantly diminished or altered entirely. Still, organisation needs to invest in training and development programs that provide new skills to help SOC staff transition into new roles quickly and smoothly. Therefore, establishing a culture of continuous learning coupled with clear career developmental paths would not only mitigate the negative impact felt by your staff but also improve their satisfaction on the job.
