If for some reason there are any gaps due to a bad cut or the boards not being straight you can use modeling clay that you can get from any hobby shop, or use some play dough either purchased or home made. Apply it to the back side of the end caps to make sure your freshly poured soap doesn’t leak out and make a mess all over.

Next, you put 2 washers on the bolt by the head and push it through both sides. Put 2 washers on the other end and add your wing nut. Do this on the other side as well. Leave this loose until you put your end caps in and snug them down. Here’s some more pictures I took inside the house and I apologize for the lighting.
