Important info first: There will be no camels in my life, thank you very much.

So, I am very pleased to hear that mess back home is coming to an end. How can I possibly thank you? I would be so very lost and alone without you. I don’t know what I did to earn your trust, love and friendship, but make certain I never lose sight of it. Just smack me if you think I am drifting away from you. Seriously. I can’t imagine my life without you in it.

Details of meeting? You said you were going to record it? Did you? Is it possible for you to send me some of it to see? I don’t think I would want to see it if I were in the States, but here...? There is little to do in our down time. Actually, I would love to see you in action. I think seeing it would help with closure. Maybe? It’s not a problem if you can’t for whatever reason.

That ‘Amazon’ is Captain Maggie Dumbarton. She is aware of everything I was going through back home because she needed to know what might impact her mission. Surprisingly, I had no concern sharing all of my problems with her. It has helped me tremendously. She is an excellent listener and she keeps me focused on ‘why’ I am here. She has also been torturing me. Non-stop. Maggie calls it physical conditioning. (Yes, I call her Maggie in private) I have to say... she has gotten me into great shape. See attached pictures. You would like her. I have told her that I want to introduce you two when we get back to States. Maybe on a beach somewhere?

Should things stay on present schedule I will have this assignment completed early. Perhaps by 2 or 3 weeks on the low side of the estimate. Old Man Abernathy put together a superb crew, so... keep fingers crossed. A great many things could set us back, but... let’s hope. I would love nothing more than to get away from this heat and the damned sand. Especially the sand. It’s everywhere. You can take a shower, and two minutes later you have sand in the crack of your ass. I won’t miss that at all.

Well, back to work for me. Again, thank you for all you do for me.
