Valentine’s Day was by far the worst day of the year. All those loved up couples. All that fake romance and phoney sentiments. What was worse was that more and more of the younger club members were pairing off, settling down. Making fucking fools of themselves over women and ruining their damn lives.

My own son had started it by chasing after a woman he should have known to leave well enough alone. Sure Avery was the mother of his kid but what did that actually matter in this day and age?

Hell, I probably had a dozen kids scattered around that I didn’t even know about.

But no my son was all about his new family life. And Avery was taking him for a ride. I could tell.

Not that Ruin would ever listen to me about it. When it came to her he had blinkers on. She was the only thing he saw.

And then there was Truth. At least Cali was useful to the club. But she was still a woman who had one of my most trusted riders wrapped around her little finger.

All of them were damn fools.

Women were a distraction they didn’t need. Only useful for one thing. Or at least that was my thoughts.

Every woman was nothing but a warm hole.

The thought had barely left my mind when my daughter came tottering down the stairs in her too high heels. Instantly I regretted inviting her to come tonight.

Every woman might be little more than a wet hole, every woman but Chelsea. She was my princess. The only person in my entire life who had never let me down and disappointed me. And I planned to keep her that way.

“Go and put some damn clothes on.”

Her brightly painted lips pouted. “Don’t be so old fashioned dad. My dress is perfect.”

My eyes narrowed. “Yeah if you’re working a fucking street corner. You aren’t getting on the back of my bike dressed like that Chel, go and fucking change.”

She was going to argue back, I could see it in the defiance that flickered into her eyes. It was a trait she got from me. I was a stubborn son of a bitch as well.

“I’m not going on anyone’s bike. I’ve invited some friends down from school.” Her whole persona changed in a flash. From petulant child to butter wouldn’t fucking melt. “I hope that’s ok Daddy?”

It wouldn’t matter to her if I said no anyway so I kept my mouth shut. “Friends from school? Girls or…” I narrowed my eyes. “Chelsea, have you invited a boyfriend here?

I had rules on boyfriends and she knew it.

“Blair is my best friend. Bennet is her brother. We have been dating for…”

I cut her off. Anger bubbling up in my chest. She knew my rules. No boyfriends. I couldn’t stop her dating anyone when she was away at university but I wouldn’t have her shacking up with some spotty nosed boy under my roof. “I don’t want to fucking know Chelsea. You might think you are an adult and all that but….
