Amy Allen entered her husband’s home office to find him sitting at his desk, his brown hair tousled as if he’d ran his fingers through the dark strands hundreds of times today. Hazel eyes were glued to the screen as he quickly typed something on the keyboard.

“Hey, honey,” she greeted as she headed toward him. He mumbled something, not looking up from the screen.

Amy let out a huff of frustration. It was late. Dinner has been was served hours ago and even then, he’d ignored her. His eyes were glued to the screen on his tablet as he ate. Not only it wasn’t polite to do it at the dinner table, it irritated her that he’d ignored her completely.

It’s been months since the last time they ate without his job interfering. She knew he was having some problems and worked double what was reasonable, but she was sick of it. She wanted her loving, caring husband back.

They’ve been married for six years and in the last year and a half, her marriage was nothing like it was before. In the beginning, Tom couldn’t take his hands off her. She felt like she was living in a fairytale. She was the center of her husband’s world and he treated her as if she was the most precious thing in the world.

They used to go out to dinner and dancing. They made love almost every night. Now, they haven’t been out to dinner in months unless it was some business meeting he needed to attend with a date and the last time they made love was… well, she couldn’t even remember. It must have been six or seven months ago.

She missed that. She missed joking and laughing with her husband. She missed his hands all over her body and him telling her that she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Things used to be so exciting. Tom always seemed as if he couldn’t get enough of her body. He liked to experiment and do it anywhere and at any time. Even when they were in company, they couldn’t wait to sneak out for some quick fun.

Who would have thought that not even a year and a half ago they did it in the dark corner or a bar with her hands against the wall, Tom pounding into her from behind. A few people close had realized what they were doing and lucky for them, they didn’t mind.
