Chapter 22

Gina

My lips tingled. That was the only way I could describe the sensation dancing across them from Leo’s touch. It was… nice. I knew there was more to it, but right here, right now, I was enjoying the niceness. He gently brushed his lips back and forth across mine like he was familiarizing himself with the feel of them. It allowed me time to get used to my first kiss.

Before I was ready, Leo pulled back and stared down at me. “Were your eyes open the whole time?”

I blinked. “What?”

He smiled gently. “You’re supposed to close your eyes.”

Heat filled my cheeks. “I know. I just didn’t want to.”

It wasn’t a lie. I wanted to see the last bit of sunlight shining through the window before it disappeared behind the horizon. I most especially wanted to see the man in front of me. I wanted to rejoice in the fact that it was Leo I was kissing. Finally, after all these years.

“Can we do it again?”

“Whatever you need, I’m here to provide it.”

I shivered at his words. It felt like something a Dom would say to his sub. I didn’t think about it anymore, because Leo was kissing me again. When his tongue swiped across my lips, I instinctively opened, and he tilted his head the slightest to deepen the kiss. My fingers clutched his shirt, and I gasped in surprise at the new sensations. I could most definitely get used to this. Feeling a little bold, I took a step forward and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer. I wanted to feel everything. Leo’s hands dropped to my hips and he squeezed. I was overloaded with sensations that it was my turn to break the kiss. Both of us were breathing hard.

“You okay?” he asked.

“Definitely.”

Sudden doubt filled me though. Did I do something wrong? Was I a bad kisser? Leo must have sensed my hesitancy, because he cupped my face between his hands and gently tilted my head so I had to look up at him.

“Talk to me, because I’m not sure that was the right answer.”

“I am okay. Really. I was just having a moment of insecurity.”

“About what?”

Feeling vulnerable this close to him, I tried to look away, but Leo growled sending a shiver straight to my lady bits.

“Gina.” My name was a warning.

“It’s dumb. I was just worried that maybe you thought I was a terrible kisser.”

Leo blinked. And blinked again. Then he smiled and waggled his eyebrows. “Baby doll, if you kissed any better, I’d need a little time to myself in a cold shower.”

“Oh my god, did you just make a masturbation joke?” It had to be the most ridiculous thing he could have said.

“You looked so nervous and worried there.” His expression shifted to one more serious. “Gina, kissing you was like kissing a ray of sunshine. It was hot, and the longer I kissed you, the hotter it got. Before long, my body would have incinerated from the heat of it, and I would have welcomed it if it meant your lips touching mine.
