Chapter Eleven

“Cynthia? Are you sure, baby girl?” Roy asked.

“Are you awake, Cyn?” Aden’s question almost seemed comical if it weren’t so real for her right then. It was a valid question.

“I’m awake.” She turned to look over her shoulder at where Roy had his head propped up on one arm. “I’m sure.”

“Honey, there’s no going back from this,” Aden told her.

Cynthia turned back to face Aden as he turned over. “What do you mean?”

“I mean that once we’ve both had you, we’re both going to want to keep you, sweet Cyn.” Aden cupped her cheek. “You’re too precious to both of us to let go of you as it is. Once we sink inside your sweet body, there’s no way either of us will ever be able to let you go.”

She jerked up. “Are you telling me to choose between you, because I can’t do that. I don’t want to choose.”

“No, baby. We’re telling you that there will be no choosing and no going back to just being friends,” Roy said from behind her. “This is it. We want to spend time with you and take you out.”

“Get to know you better. Find out what you like and what turns you on,” Aden added.

Cynthia felt as if all of her dreams had come true. They both wanted her, together, at the same time. They weren’t asking her to choose. It was what she’d wanted, right? Now that it was out there, just waiting for her to grab hold, Cynthia hesitated. Could she really go through with it? What about her shop? How would it affect her business?

“Cynthia?” Aden leaned in to look at her. “What’s going on in that pretty head of yours?”

Why did it matter what others thought? Her business ran on tourism for the most part. Tourists wouldn’t care. In fact, they would be all the more curious if it were known, not that she would be shouting it to the rooftops or taking out an ad in the local newspaper or anything.

“I’m just nervous, I guess. I hadn’t really thought it through.”

“That’s why we want you to be sure, Cyn,” Aden explained.

“I want you both. That isn’t going to change. I don’t know how a relationship like this would work. I mean, have you ever been in this type of situation before?” she asked.

“No, but we want it to work, and I think that’s half the battle. All couples have problems throughout their lives. We’ll just have a little more to work with is all,” Roy said.

“All that matters is what we think and want from it. We have to agree on how we’ll work things through when something comes up. All relationships are work, Cynthia. The question is, are you willing to work with us?” Aden asked.

“I want to. I’m just scared that I won’t be able to keep you both happy. How do I keep up with both of you?”

“That’s not an issue, honey,” Aden told her. “It isn’t your job to keep us happy. It’s our job to keep you happy.
