NINETEEN

North and South sat in a car down the street from Jason’s house with a pair of binoculars. They waited for Jason like two lions studying and stalking its prey. They had been watching the house for several days, noted that Jason and Monique had the company of the younger Jason and Caramel.

South was actually on the cell phone detailing what he and North’s next action would be. The caller had grown impatient and wanted a more devastating action than the note that was placed into Jason’s mailbox. The caller desired pain and suffering for Jason and all around him. South assured the irritated caller that their plan would work.

“There he is,” North said.

When Jason got a comfortable distance away, they started the tail of Jason’s vehicle. They used the binoculars to stay safely undetected behind him. As Jason pulled into the Sixteenth Precinct’s parking lot, South updated the caller on Jason’s whereabouts.

“So, he took the bait,” the caller said. “It’s about fucking time. He’ll spin his wheels trying to find out who killed his Captain. This is what I want you to do…skip that ‘Act Two’ that you talked about and devise a way to take his ass out.”

“Understood,” South stated. A second later, South heard a dial tone in his ear.
