Time passes, and neither of them is sure how long they’ve been laid there. Resting in each other’s arms they both silently consider the enormity of what they’ve just done. Kat sighs as her fingers gently dance along the length of his strong muscular arm, drawing a pattern around his tattoo while he holds her naked body close against his.

Closing his eyes, he listens to her deep breaths. “Kat, what’s wrong?” he asks, breaking the silence.
