Reasons to not invite a humdrum over to my house:

a. A framed picture of my mom and dad on their honeymoon riding the Loch Ness Monster hangs in the dining room.

b. The magic mirror in the bathroom is always giving advice on what to wear. (Warning: The mirror isn’t crazy about bright colors or plaids.)

c. They could catch my dog, Winston, playing chess with Louise the cat while the school hamster, Lester, acts as referee.

d. My sister could fly by, which means explaining that both a) she can shrink down to Tinkerbell size, and b) she can fly.

e. About fifty zillion reasons that I don’t have time to list.
