1. Although not the focus of this chapter, it is central to acknowledge that the current political system is largely polarized and readily characterized as dysfunctional. One does not need to be a traditionalist to have this view. Bernie Sanders’ remarkable campaign received much of its fuel from this claim and was very “antiestablishment” in that sense. And this is a view that both Trump and Sanders supporters share.
