Paul and the creation of Christianity

In Christian development, the central figure is the Messiah. The messianic idea was developed during repeated times of existential crisis in the Jewish culture. For St. Paul the crucial point, nevertheless, was the resurrection. I already mentioned:

If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, your faith also is vain . . . But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep . . . For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.
