Unhinged Emotions

Milkshake invited me to her birthday party. I didn’t think it was a good idea for me to go cause I still wanted to beat the fuck outta Manny and Goldie but I went anyway. I think a part of me wanted to see Manny. I was not surprised to see that Milkshake went all out for his party. He hired male and female strippers, all the food and alcohol you could want and had a real popular DJ mixing his ass off. It was good to see Lucky, Shorty, Mike, and Belinda there. I was sad to hear that TT died a week prior though. Mike told me that this was the first time he’d been out since TT died. Mike felt like he had to get out for a little while and be around his friends before he goes crazy in his house alone.

Mike notices Troy staring at Manny as Manny and Goldie walk in. Mike tells Troy that TT was his first male lover. Troy was shocked and asked him how he ended up being with a man. Mike tells him that his wife had just left him and his daughter. It was hard for Mike to raise his daughter by himself so he asked a few people in the neighborhood if they knew anyone who would babysit for him while he was at work. Everyone told him that TT loved children and that she would probably watch her for free. Mike tells him that when he met TT he thought she was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. Mike wanted to be with her from the first day they were introduced to each other. They began spending a lot of time together both alone and with his daughter. Mike fell hard and asked her to move in with him two months after they met. TT never thought the friendship would go that far. Mike was the man of her dreams but he had no idea that TT was born a man. She invites Mike over to talk. “I was scared that she was gonna tell me she doesn’t date fat white men but instead she told me that she was born a male. At that point it didn’t matter to me because I was already in love with her.” Troy, with tears in his eyes, looks at Manny as he tells Mike, “I’m glad it worked out for you and I’m really sorry for your loss.” Mike tells Troy that things will get better for him and gets a piece of paper and a pen to write down the information for TT’s funeral and repass. After Mike write’s down the information Troy says his good-byes and leaves. When Milkshake asks him why he’s leaving so early he tells her cause he has to work later and needs some rest. He really left because he couldn’t stand to see Manny and Goldie hugged up.

For the past three weeks, Troy has been too busy to go to the methadone clinic.
