Jessa turned in her seat and frowned as Ryder pulled the Jeep into the front parking lot of the office. "I thought we were going to see the victims."
Ryder laughed. "We are, but I didn't think you wanted to go to the hospital in my clothes."
Her eyes widened as she nodded. "Oh... Yeah, it's not a very professional look, is it?"
He turned the engine off and hopped out, Jessa gasped at his speed as he exited the Jeep and was at her door to open it in barely a blink of an eye. He pulled the door open and grinned. "Well I like the look of it, but thatâs just me." When she sat there staring at him Ryder reached back and rubbed the back of his neck. "What?"
"Did you not notice how fast you just were?"
"Nope." He shook his head. "Felt normal to me, why? Was it fast?"
Jessa giggled and pinched her fingers together almost touching. "Just a little bit, human. You might want to slow it down."
A wicked grin curled on his lips. "I wonder what else might have improved with this new power."
She slid out of the Jeep and wrapped her arms around his neck. "You don't need any improvements in that department. Your skills are above and beyond the average."
He quirked a brow. "And what do you know of the average?"
Jessa smiled and echoed the words he had said to her earlier. "I know all others pale in comparison to you."
He grinned bigger. "I like the sound of that, but we might need to test that theory." His mouth captured hers before she could take a breath, his rugged hands twisted in her hair. She wanted to stop him for the sake of the case but deep down this was exactly what her soul was craving.
They were inside the office before she could pull her mouth from his. "Ryder, focus. I want you but we have aâ"
He kissed her again silencing her halfhearted protest, he had her pinned against the wall, his hands palming her firm breasts. His t-shirt that covered her didn't stand a chance, he ripped it from her, his mouth locked on hers. Ryder's tongue warred with hers, Jessa whimpered. The kiss had her head swimming, a shiver went down her spine.
Something was different, heat radiated between them. Ryder broke the kiss as his mouth trailed down her neck, she lifted her chin and arched her back as his teeth nipped at her pulsing vein. She gripped his head, holding his mouth to her neck, his rough hands trailed down her sides and she wiggled her hips to help free herself from the sweatpants she wore. As soon as she was bare Ryder cupped her throbbing sex with his hand and ground his palm against her moist heat. Jessa whimpered as she rocked her hips.
She thought for sure he would make her come that way, with only his hand but before she could even react Ryder had stripped down. Her eyes traveled up and down his body.
