Tamayori-hime

Tamayori-hime is the mother of Emperor Jimmu. She is the daughter of Watatsumi, the water dragon who emerged from Kagutsuchi’s severed body. She met Ugayafukiaezu—Jimmu’s future father—when he was still a little child and she was sent to care for him by her sister, Toyotama-hime, who was the child’s mother but had abandoned the child. As Ugayafukiaezu grew up, he started to love his aunt and eventually, they were married. Not much more is known about Tamayori-hime from that point.
