Fighting clouds…
I had to catch myself as I sped through downtown after leaving Anthony's office. Had the nerve to be getting onto him about his driving then there I was doing the same damn thing. Only difference between us two was the fact that he at least knew where he was going. I on the other hand did not have a clue having to resort to my cell phone‟s map feature which often times would give the wrong directions. I wasn't tripping though because as I drove all I could think about was Anthony; everything from tracking him down to the awesome lunch that we had just enjoyed and even better his offering me to come and live with him. And although it would only be a temporary arrangement the flutter flies that engaged my insides made me instantly nervous about the whole situation. They gave me that feeling that I used to feel when Terrence and I were teenagers. After a long period of time would pass with us not being together intimately there would be so much tension and angst built up within us that when we were finally able to be together it would be like a nuclear explosion of emotions, like birth and the afterbirth was guilt and remorse. I knew one thing was for certain, I needed to tame this demon that lived within me and quickly.
Monday had been going perfectly according to planespecially since there were only a few things that I had planned to do. Meeting up with Anthony was one of them and by tackling that one I was able to kill two birds with one stone because now I didn't have to worry about apartment hunting just yet or I was sure to find out. My updated to-do list was now down to catching up with Chrissy and Bailey to see how everything was going with their articles and beginning my articles and if time allowed I would try to complete one or two of them so that I could start the editing process on them. But first I was headed back to the Marriott to get my things and if Ms. Thang was still there then I was going to politely walk up to her and say, “Well bitch the loop that y'all wanted me to keep y'all in yea well that loop has changed so check me the fuck out,” and then be nice and add a please on the end. Sometimes I wondered where my spicy sarcastic and sometimes nasty ass attitude came from. I mean was it from my mama‟s side of the family because she could lay it on you especially if she was really upset. I didn't know enough about my slow ass daddy to know if he could be a contributor or not. Or maybe it was my alter ego or some shit like that hiding underneath my more cordial and classy self like dirt under a rug just sitting there waiting to be blown and scattered back out into the world.
