Chapter Eight: Sniffing At My Skirt

Josie and Ashley arrived at Josie’s house to get ready for the party. They grabbed their bags out of the cars and headed towards the door when a black Denali with tented windows pulled up in front of the house.

“Who is that?” asked Ashley, reaching into her purse.

“I don’t know, but whoever it is wants to get fucked up,” replied Josie, reaching into her purse. The passenger window came down slowly as both women dropped their bags.

“Josie! Where’s my shit?” Josie looked into the window with piercing eyes.

“Oh shit! Russell! You was about to get fucked up dude,” said Josie, pulling her hand out of her purse.

“Nigga! Don’t just ride up on a bitch like that,” said Ashley. “You know we have enemies out her on these streets!” Russell started laughing at them.

“My fault ladies,” he replied. “So what’s up Josie? You got my clothes? You know tonight is my guy‘s big birthday party. And you’ve already got him looking fly. ”

“Park and come into the house,” said Josie, picking up her bags. She dug down in her purse, searching for the house keys while looking back at Russell. That boy is fine, she thought as she found the keys and opened up the front door. She walked inside of the house, turning on the lights.

“Y’all got a lot of bags,” said Russell, coming through the door behind them. Josie smiled at Russell as if that was a good enough answer to his comment.

“Fire up,” said Josie, setting her bags on the couch. “I know you got some of that fire shit.” Russell started laughing as he pulled an ounce of weed out of his pocket.

“I know you’ve got a cigarillo up in this house. I heard you and Ashley smoke big weed.” Josie smiled.

“Ashley, give Russell a few cigarillos out of the box,” said Josie, sitting down on the couch.

“A few! Damn Josie, what are you trying to do smoke up the whole ounce?” asked Russell, looking offended. She looked at him strange.

“I called myself being nice to your country ass by giving you a few to take with you. But since you came out of that bag, I’m not going to give you shit.” Russell started laughing, lowering his head to the floor. Ashley took three cigarillos out of the box and handed them to Russell. He took one out of Ashley’s hand.

“Roll the other two up if you don’t mind,” said Russell.

“What kind of weed you got today?” asked Ashley, sitting down in a recliner.

“I have some purple haze,” he replied, handing Ashley the bag. Josie got up and walked to her room to get some outfits for Russell to choose from.

“Aye Josie! Where are you going?” shouted Russell.

“I’m going to my room,” she replied.

“Is it cool if I come and holler at you?”

“Come on back.”

“All right wait a minute. I want to roll this blunt up first.” Russell broke down the blunt in his hand and began to roll up.

“You can fire up that blunt you just rolled, Ashley.
