“Sometimes people are not as strong as they seem,” said the giant. He picked up a glass goblet. “If Thor is strong enough to smash this goblet then he is strong enough to carry the cauldron. All he has to do is break this glass goblet. Then he can have my cauldron.”

Thor grabbed the goblet and threw it as hard as he could against a stone wall in the hall. Little chips of stone broke off the wall. The goblet fell to the floor and rolled back to Thor. It didn’t even have a scratch on it. Himm laughed.

“You’ve used magic!” said Thor crossly.

“I have an idea,” said Lora. “Just throw the goblet at Himm’s head. It’s harder than stone!”

And that is what Thor did. He threw the goblet hard at Himm. The goblet hit the giant between the eyes and smashed into tiny splinters.

Without another word, Thor lifted the cauldron onto his shoulders and marched out of the hall. Himm was very, very angry but he knew he had been beaten. Lora was happy. She looked at all the extra space she had in the hall now that the cauldron was gone.

Thor took the cauldron to the god of the sea who filled it with beer. Then Thor returned to Asgard, and the gods had enough beer to drink for many years.
