CHAPTER 11

Seeing Momo and Hana's excited faces as they reveled in their own creativity, a sense of immense gratitude washed over me. Here we were, an unlikely trio – two playful cat girls and myself – sharing in the joy that they had created for Rebecca, our resident artificial intelligence.

"Momo, Hana," I began, taking a step toward them, "I can't tell you enough how much this means to me. It's not just about the outfit, it's about your acceptance and the love you're showing Rebecca. You're making her feel... human."

The smiles on their faces were worth more than any words of gratitude I could offer. They bounded toward me, their arms outstretched for a group hug. As they simultaneously planted soft kisses on my cheeks, their purrs of contentment reverberated in the otherwise quiet room.

"No need to thank us, Kazuki," Hana said, pulling away and swishing her tail playfully, "Anything for our favorite human and our favorite A.I. hot maid lady?" We all laughed at her attempt to categorize Rebecca.

Our laughter was interrupted by Rebecca's slightly monotone voice. "Kazuki," she started, "your preference would be appreciated. Should I retain this outfit and wig or revert to my previous appearance?"

I found myself chuckling at her formal choice of words. Looking over at her, I took in the sight of her transformed appearance. The sparkling blue wig, complete with cat ears, the adorable maid outfit, it was as if she had leaped straight out from one of our favorite animes.

"Well, Rebecca," I said, grinning from ear to ear, "I think it should be your call. But let me tell you, you look downright stunning."

Picking up on my playful mood, I continued, "In fact, I reckon you could give Momo and Hana a run for their money. How about we get you some more outfits? I bet these fashionistas here would be thrilled to help."

At my suggestion, Momo and Hana clapped their hands in delight. "Absolutely! We'd love to!" they chorused, their eyes gleaming with the prospect of another fashion project.

Rebecca, however, was visibly puzzled. "My programming does not necessitate clothing," she stated matter-of-factly. "In fact, excessive apparel might interfere with..."

"Nonsense, Rebecca," I cut her off with a light-hearted wave of my hand. "Who cares about necessity when you can have fun? Besides, if dressing up brings you joy, then why not?"

With that, the cat girls took charge, each grabbing one of Rebecca's hands and leading her toward my computer. "Let the online shopping begin!" They exclaimed. The room was filled with giddy excitement and anticipation, the bonds of friendship strengthened by a shared love for anime fashion.

As Momo, Hana, and Rebecca delved further into the world of online shopping, I found my attention gravitating toward my trusty companion in solitude - my gaming console. This unassuming box of electronic wizardry had been my haven on many a lonely night, a realm where I could lose myself in digital adventures and shirk off the mundanities of the real world.
