Improving Group Dynamics

The teams are working, but could they work together more effectively? Have you seen one group working well together and another group seems dysfunctional? Is there a morale problem because of a member who criticizes everything, and other members are afraid to speak up at meetings because of this? Maybe there is a member who always interrupts with a joke or snide comment.

These behaviors will derail a meeting and cause others to lose interest. We have to face it, in our line of work there is going to stress and problem behaviors. There is no way around it. This isn’t to say we need to ignore these things, but there are ways to reduce their impact and possibly even fix the behaviors. A negative team will just not operate at its peak ability but a positive team can move mountains.
