Suggested Timeframe One day, a weekend, up to a week

Rewards The jackpot could be either cash or a medium prize (see appendix). Be sure you have enough to award to more than one player if the jackpot has to be split.

Promoting the Game Use bells, whistles, horns, gongs, or bullhorns to generate excitement and enthusiasm.

Designate a certain time of day when you’ll draw the winning lottery number. Make a big production or ceremony of drawing the winning number. Use a spinning drum with numbered balls if you can, but even a clear container or fishbowl with numbers written on small pieces of paper will work well.

Create a lottery results board on a wall or bulletin board in your stockroom, break-room, or office. Post each day’s winning number, the winner’s name (if any), and the jackpot.
