Have you ever heard of “prayer walking”? That’s where you take a stroll through a neighborhood or town while praying for the people in each home or business as you go by. My church strongly supports prayer walking to bathe our entire region in prayer. They even have a map of our county on which we can place pins on the streets we cover during our regular walks.

I’ve done plenty of prayer walking in my neighborhood, but only when I decided to get a handle on our mess and clutter did it cross my mind to prayer walk my house. I highly encourage you to begin the House That Cleans Itself process with an indoor prayer walk of your own. It will focus your efforts, reaffirm your priorities, and give you the opportunity to ask for God’s blessings upon you and your family in very specific ways. If you’ve never prayer walked before, you may feel a little silly doing it at first, but do it anyway. Soon you’ll be lost in the prayer itself, and your self-consciousness will fly out the window.
