I've never known anybody that's been in the ministry since Jesus that could walk up to 5,000 sick people, some of them crippled, some blind, some demon possessed, some lunatic, and when he left, everyone of them would be healed.

Almost every man that God gives His healing power to, to minister with, usually has one and sometimes two or three things that that fellow can get nearly everybody healed that has that particular disease. I mean, he just has absolutely wonderful results.

I know a fellow in my hometown that used to be a midget.

What do you mean used to be a midget? You mean he's not a midget now?

No, he's not a midget now. He's 6 foot 1 inch tall and weighs about 190 pounds.

I've known his family all my life. I went to school with his sisters. But Jimmy was a little boy that just stopped growing when he got to 12 years of age. Nobody could figure it out. The doctors couldn't figure it out. He just stopped growing. He weighed 92 pounds when he was 12 years old.

When he went to be examined for the army (of course they didn't take him), he still weighed 92 pounds. I think he was 4 foot 9 inches tall.

God called him to work with little children. He said, "God, I don't want to work with those little kids. I want to be big. Get yourself another man."

When he was 26 years old, he was riding down the road one day. He was driving about 35 or 40 miles an hour. A drunk came driving down the highway doing about 95. They had a head-on collision. The boy that was the passenger was killed. Jimmy's legs were knocked out of their sockets and his thigh bones were driven through his hips and they were sticking out. He was crushed; but for some unknown reason, he was still breathing.

They took him to the hospital. The hospital said they couldn't help him but that they thought he would be dead in a few minutes anyway. They suggested that perhaps someone in Chattanooga could help him, but he'd probably die before he got there.

They took him to a big hospital in Chattanooga. The doctor there said, "There's no way we can help him. He'll be dead in just a little while. He won't live. There's no use trying to operate on him. He's too crushed. Just put him in a room over there. He'll be dead by morning."

He had been unconscious. But he opened up his eyes and he asked Jesus, "Lord, don't make me meet You like this. Lord Jesus, don't make me meet You like this. I've never won any souls for You. I know You tried to get me to win souls for You, Jesus, but I never have won any. Jesus, if You'll heal me, I'll knock on doors for You. I'll win souls for You for the rest of my life Jesus, if You'll heal me." Then he lost consciousness again.
